Furnace is 15–20+ years old
Furnaces last 15–20 years with proper maintenance. Past that, you’re rolling dice on the heat exchanger — and a cracked exchanger is always a replacement, never a repair.
A new furnace installation is about more than replacing equipment. Proper sizing, professional installation, and careful system setup all play a major role in how efficiently your new furnace performs for years to come.
Our licensed technicians evaluate your home’s heating needs, recommend the right system, and install it according to manufacturer specifications so you can enjoy reliable comfort and lower energy costs.
Studies estimate that up to 30% of a heating system’s efficiency depends on installation quality, not just the equipment itself. Sizing, gas pressure, venting, ductwork condition, combustion verification, and a start-up report with documented readings. Cut corners on any of these and you’re paying premium for mid-tier performance.
As a Tempstar® Elite Dealer, we install gas, electric, and dual-fuel furnaces across the full product range — from the entry-level Performance Series to the Ion™ variable-speed systems that run at near-silent efficiency. We hold the SC State Mechanical License for gas piping and venting work, and every install includes duct inspection, post-install combustion analysis, and warranty registration.
Some are emergency decisions. Some are smart ones made before the emergency.

Once you’re spending more than a third of a new system’s cost on repairs in a year or two, replacement usually pays for itself in 3–5 winters.
Cold bedrooms with a too-hot living room usually means the system was sized or zoned wrong from day one. A new install corrects that.
An 80% AFUE furnace from the ’90s wastes a fifth of every dollar of gas. A modern 96% unit closes that gap significantly.
A healthy flame is steady blue. Yellow or flickering means incomplete combustion — and a furnace that old with that symptom is usually a replacement candidate.
Short-cycling almost always traces back to an oversized original install. A right-sized replacement fixes the comfort and the compressor wear at once.

Same process on every furnace install, whether it's a straight swap or a full system upgrade with the AC.

Yes. New furnaces include manufacturer warranty coverage, and we also stand behind our workmanship. We’ll explain your warranty options before installation and register eligible equipment after the job is complete.
Most full furnace installations in our area land between $4,500 and $9,000, fully installed. Entry-tier 80% AFUE units run on the lower end; mid-efficiency 90–95% on the middle; premium 96–98.5% AFUE on the upper range. Every quote is itemized and in writing, with financing options included.
The right answer is a Manual J heat-loss calculation — we measure square footage, ceiling heights, window count and orientation, insulation level, and air-leakage estimates for your actual home. Sizing by square footage alone produces oversized systems that short-cycle and wear out early.
A straight furnace replacement is usually a one-day job — typically 6–8 hours from arrival to clean-up. If we’re replacing the AC at the same time, plan on two days. Gas line or venting changes add time and are quoted separately.
AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) is the percentage of your gas dollar that becomes actual heat in your house. An 80% AFUE furnace wastes 20 cents of every dollar of gas; a 96% unit wastes about 4 cents. In our climate, the math on a 96% unit usually pays back the premium within 4–7 years through lower gas bills.
Yes. We hold the SC State Mechanical License required for gas piping work, and we handle venting for atmospheric, power-vent, and direct-vent (PVC) furnace configurations. Most installs don’t require gas line changes — but when they do, it’s one contractor, not two.
Yes. Old equipment haul-away is included in the install quote. We disconnect, pull the old furnace, install the new one, and leave the utility room cleaner than we found it.
HVAC investments shouldn't put your comfort on hold. We work with qualifying customers to spread the cost of repairs, replacements, and indoor air quality upgrades into manageable monthly payments.
